Tavli Masters
Tavli Masters is a board game which consists of two subgames; Backgammon and Plakoto.
This is the first time I attempt to make a board game and luckily it worked out pretty well.
As previously mentioned, the game is divided in two categories, but the main goal of both is identical. The players are called to collect all their pawns in their gathering area and remove them. The game supports Human vs CPU mode as well as Human vs Human mode, which is played using the same machine alternatively. Even though it is a great game, the AI of the CPU requires a bit of work.
Bubble Trouble
Bubble Trouble is a puzzle game where players must pop as many bubbles as they can.
This is yet another remake of a very known puzzle game, and that is none other than Bust a Move.
This game does not load any information from any external files (except the music) because it does not have to. The best part of the game is its gameplay. You can play single player mode or compete against a friend in multiplayer mode. Both modes are very entertaining and will keep players busy for hours.
Block Master
Block Master is a game where players control a robot and help it to find its way to the charge platform.
It is a brainteasing game, similar to Sokoban, in which many players will not forget soon.
Once more, a game that extracts data out of an external XML file and translates them into graphics for its stages. The best part of the game is its gameplay. If you like this kind of games, you are going to find yourself stuck for hours trying to solve the game's puzzles. This game is a challenge to every person that believes that is good in solving puzzles.
Crosswords FL
Without anyone having to give much thought on it, Crosswords FL is a game of (...well, what do you know) crosswords.
It is a nice game, ideal for playing on vacation.
Although many people might say that this game is not that big deal, it actually is. That is because the game utilizes the advantages of the cooperation between ActionScript and XML at the maximum. But the most exciting part is that the game is optimized to add as many crosswords as you like and when you wish to play, the game suffles them and sets a random crossword before you.
Mini Game Room
Mini Game Room is a collection of mini games packed in a single game.
This is a new idea I came up with and is meant to entertain every gamer; hardcore or not.
The main idea was to create an addicting game with simple controls so everyone would be able to play it with ease. The games packed in Mini Game Room are similar to many cell phone games so it is reasonable that you will not twist your fingers while playing it.
Pacman Flash
Another legend of the worldwide video game history has made its appearence in my portfolio.
This is one more game that I believe any references are meaningless.
Damn!.. I never expected that I would be able to create a such fine game not only in graphic terms, but also in gameplay. This game is yet another masterpiece for my collection in which its best part is the AI I created which is very similar to the original game and sometimes even better. That means that the enemies are not just some part of the stage just waiting to collide with the player; they are intelligent beings and they will choose the best route to catch the hero of the game.
Blister Blast
Blister Blast is another puzzle game in which the players control... blisters.
This game is very similar to many old school puzzle games such as Mean Bean Machine.
Blister Blast is a very addicting game; personally I'm passing many hours playing it. The most interesting part of it, is that the game can connect to a database, and players not only can view the best
scores of the game but also will be asked to submit their name once they made a high score. This is the first time I used such a feature in one of my games and I hope it will work out.
Tetris Flash
At long last, the best puzzle game ever created is finally here.
I don't think any references are needed here; everyone knows Tetris.
I have been waiting for so long for my skills to evolve to the point that I would be able to develop my personal favorite puzzle game. One of the game's features, as other previously released games, is the capability to send and retrieve data from a database which is used to store and retrieve high scores of the game. This game is a jewel for my collection.
Arkball
Arkball is a remake of Taito's Arkanoid; one of the most famous puzzle games in video games history.
It is a game I designed and programmed for my final assignment in Flash.
The truth is that it turned out to be a very good game, even though it has no sound
(I've tried to add sound externally but the timing of the Flash Player was awfully slow and I wasn't so experienced with Flash).
Tower of Hanoi
Tower of Hanoi is a puzzle game in which its origin comes from an Indian legend.
It is a mathematical puzzle game which consists of three pillars and a number of discs. The main objective of the game is to place all the discs to the rightmost pillar.
This is a nice brainteasing game. It may look like an easy game at first sight but once you try to add more discs to the stage, that is when the real challenge begins.
Super Mario Flash
As you might have guessed, it is a side scrolling game with Mario.
It is a game I made to express my respect and adoration in Nintendo's games.
One of the most interesting parts of this game is that it loads the stages from an external XML file. Unfortunately, I've designed only one stage in which the game
automatically repeats when you finish it. Sometime in the future I plan to create a stage editor to built more stages.
Fat Jack
Fat Jack is yet another side scrolling platform game .
Boy, do I love platform games?...
This is one more game that loads the stages from an external XML file. What is more exciting is that I created a stage editor for this game that generates the XML code of the stage you edited in it
with a single press of a button. Furthermore, Fat Jack has four unique environments for its stages which makes it more interesting as game.
Total Gamblers
As the name suggests, Total Gamblers is a gambling game.
Personally, I'm not very interested in these kind of games but I wanted to make a game of chances.
Total Gamblers has everything a gambler asks from a gambling game. Well.. almost everything. In this game you can play Poker, Black Jack and Slot Machine so far.
I intended to include the roullette and a craps game but I simply don't know the rules.
Paddle Hockey
Paddle Hockey is an arcade hockey game in which each player controls a paddle.
It is a classic game I always wanted to make one like this.
The best part of the game, as you might have suspected, is that it is a multiplayer game. This means that you can compete against one of your friends to see who is the best player.
Starfighter
Star Fighter is a side scrolling shooting game in which players control a spacecraft.
Retro lovers will probably love this game because it looks like R-Type or many other old school games.
As other previously released games, Star Fighter loads the stages from an external XML file, but the best part of this fact is that you can add more stages in the game
(if you know the basic rules of XML) or change some enemies' properties, such as HP or firing speed.
